Muckno Lodge
Castleblayney

This stunning 5 Bedroom Cottage is overlooking Lough Muckno & Concra Wood, in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.

The cottage was originally a game keepers cottage  built on the Bath Estate in 1869 during the Plantations.

Our client wanted the renovation to retain its original charm with features  such as the restored stone exterior, the Bath Estate Coat of Arms above the door, and one of its most charming features is the traditional open-hearth fireplace with old skillet pot hanging from it’s crane.

Today Muckno Lodge is a charming & luxurious lakeside 4 Star Fáilte Ireland accredited Self-Catering Holiday Cottages nestled among the beautiful countryside and rolling drumlins of Co. Monaghan.

About the project

Our client wanted to stay with the cottage features of original Bath Estate
Stone cottage dating back to 1869. Whilst making it into a spacious 5 bedroom house.

The main house at Muckno Lodge has retained its original charm with features such as the restored stone exterior, the Bath Estate Coat of Arms above the door, and one of its most charming features is the traditional open-hearth fireplace with old skillet pot hanging from it’s crane.

With the cottages plumbing & electrical works all been upgraded throughout.

Outside we designed & laid a spacious patio area to the rear of the building, which gives guests a relaxing area to enjoy.
